Put on my dry socks this morning and immediately walked through a mile of grassy wet fields. Classic. That’s on me.
Side quested to Karns grocery in Duncannon for fried chicken and donuts galore. Got me a new pair of carbon fiber poles today, which I refuse to hike with in the Whites (aluminum or bust, literally) but now that I’m rather “trekking”, I feel silly for carrying around the bricks that I did the past 1200 miles. Feels like I’m carrying feathers now. It’s been all of 7 hours of use, but I highly suggest ThruVenture poles. You’ll be the first to hear me bitch about it if I change my tune
