A relatively quick hike up in to snag an evening flight. Brought the bivy gear for a possible night out if I could fly somewhere cool. Made it up to 16.5k and went all in on crossing over the Treasure massif and landing on the west side by these gorgeous lakes. Unfortunately the lee side of these peaks offered nothing but sink and I had to turn back after coming up just barely short of making it across the pass. So close! 🫤 Didn't have enough attitude after arriving back in Schofield Park to climb out again so landed back by the car. Beautiful flight, I'll be back to try for the full mission again in the future!
