Day 2 (everything but my knee is sore)

I could cry tears of joy

Holy guacamole! 6 months since my injury, 4 months since surgery and 2 months back to walking unassisted! I’m so cautiously stoked right now! First run in 6 months and I’m so excited, No issues whatsoever so ever with the knee, only “issue” was lack of quad strength which I could feel.  Definitely ran this wayyyy too fast but that was the three cups of coffee mixed with me really really missing running mixed with new shoes (shout out Andrew for the saucony hookup, the endorphin trainer is so sick!) lead to me defintely pushing it.  Positives, I can run again, the pace felt hard, but maintaining wasn’t as hard as I thought it was gonna be, my knee feels good….. negatives, I’m out of shape but it’s a good baseline to start out at, building mileage is going to be long, my doctor hasn’t cleared me to run yet, so don’t tell him!

P.S. drew some motivation from trying to shut Strava AI’s bitchass up telling me my projected 5k time was 25 minutes, what’s up now  !
