That cardiac drift is pretty wild

Crazy how your body can go from feeling 100% totally fine to not being able to run within 12 hours. Felt totally fine end of day Wednesday, and then woke up, stepped out of bed, and felt shooting pain through the area right around where the Achilles inserts (or slightly above). At first I thought it was Achilles tendonitis because that's where the pain was, but on further investigation nothing was actually wrong with my Achilles or calf or anything, but man is it taking it's sweet time going away... Took 10 days completely off from doing anything active since my last break from running was all the way back in December. Felt totally fine walking around this morning so decided to try some running. Before and after feel totally fine but I can still feel it during. It feels so similar to Achilles tendonitis while running, but it just doesn't have any of the actual signs. Super weird but anyways there goes any summer racing plans I may have had 🤷

We'll see where it goes from here.
