John Kim and I conquered this big challenging hike! We were a little worried when we took 2.5 hours to go the first 4k… but it got a little easier and we’re pretty sure the official distance was way off! (Official distance was just 13k; we clocked it around 17.5k. The elevation does not reflect how challenging the terrain was… lots of climbing over, around and on sharp rocks and boulders for the first 1/3 of the hike or so. The descent was a very very long set of rocks forming an uneven staircase… they do not do switchbacks here. Just straight up and down!
