I walked for seven days in shoes that were too small for me and caused serious damage to my feet as well as blisters the size of toonies on both my heels. After taking a zero day in Seiad valley to try and let the blisters heal and waiting for new shoes. I got back on trail to hike. I made it this distance before I started vomiting and basically purging my body from every orifice. Turns out I got food poisoning on my zero day. I was rescued by a Trail Angel who drove an hour and a half of a logging road to the one spot that I was able to be retrieved from. Thank God for her. I’m now spending time at an off grid cabin resting up until I feel like I can get back on trail.
