It is the 249th anniversary of the USA’s Declaration of Independence. But counterintuitively, I spent the majority of this run thinking about the way that my life is dependent upon so many others: God, family, church, neighbors, coworkers, ministry partners… I’m dependent upon my nation, too, so I can certainly celebrate this national birthday. But I’m glad that I can celebrate dependence, too. It’s a good thing we need each other.
