Started the day off pretty mellow and then a climb up Moxie Bald (yes I already drank a moxie). Great views but could also see a big storm brewing in the distance. Descended down that and then walked along the Piscataquis River for most of the afternoon. Storm came to fruition and we were quickly reminded of what it feels like to be drenched, soggy and cold. Selfishly, we enjoyed the Maine drought while it lasted - first time getting rained on in weeks. Had to ford the river a couple times but otherwise the terrain was flatter and somewhat pleasant. Camped out near Hebron Pond.
