Jabe Pond Trail Run

How is it possible for nature to be so beautiful? Objectively. 

I set out for home today from VT. My original time restriction no longer applied to I took the scenic route and made the premeditated choice to find a trail along Lake George and do a jog/run, and ideally a swim too. 

I parked in Silver Bay (interesting community; It revolves around the YMCA!) and looked on AllTrails. I saw that across the street, away from the lake there was a shorter trail that lead to a pond. I settled on that one and took off into unknown (by me) territory. 

There was a lot of uphill, but it lead to the most pristine pond I could have imagined. 

I swam and took it all in, and then ran back. The run back was on the Bob James Trail, and it included an uphill I struggled through. 
The final couple of miles though were severe downhill; technical and exhilarating. 

I think I got the most out of this final week of vacation. I actually don’t want to leave, but at least I leave knowing this will still be here next time I return.
