Is this bike packing? Once again battling the rain on two wheels. Loaded up and battened down, made it over to the end of lost nation before things got very very wet. Fantastic barred owl sighting along the way. Stopped at the Spanked Puppy for a beer and to warm up before continuing on to South Hero for another brewery stop and yet more rain. Finally let up for a glorious causeway rainbow on the last ferry home, rewarded with the ferryman’s leftover donuts. I peeled off from the gang at airport park to go retrieve the car and rendezvous at Foam where we got a surprise metal show 🤘 Abandoned camping in favor of warm beds, mac and cheese, and crossword puzzles but at least we hauled a ton of gear in a circle in the rain. Takes a strong crew to make lemonade out of weather like this, thankful to get the most out of these late summer days
