Meramec River Day 4

Can’t believe how fast time flys by on the river! I swear the hours go by like minutes. Had a great time on the Maramec and really gained a lot from this trip. Most of all it reassures the value of our federally protected rivers. Though any free flowing river is a win; I could definitely do without the scary fast motor boats and the abundance of houses and shanty shacks along the banks. The noise pollution of the highways too. But this is a remarkable resource that St. Louis has right at its doorstep. 
My right shoulder did not like that 40 mile day though and I’m feeling ready to rest up by digging more tulips (hopefully the crew planted all those while I was gone).
