Morning Run

I did the north half of this trail last Christmas. I remember thinking that section was hard to follow. Well, turns out that the north side is the officially maintained section and the south side can only be considered a trail with the most generous of roundings. 

In many instances, the small strips of metal nailed to trees and the faintest of thinning of the quickly encroaching vines, thorns, and infant pine trees are the only indication that you’re still on the right track. Thankfully, the undergrowth was never too thick to pose a real impediment to bushwhacking in the last known direction of the trail, merely a threat to the skin on my lower legs.
