Almost a perfect day. If only my ibuprofen hadn’t gotten stuck in my water filter at mile 27, leaving me void of water and food the last 3.5 hours. Oh well. Super beautiful hike featuring views of the Grand, waterfalls, alpine lakes, meadows, the ALASKA basin!, and lots or rocks and trees. Decided that yelling “bake the cake” takes too much work, so now I just clap loud. Learned a lot on pacing and fueling today. Feel ready to take on Rim2Jim2Rim, hopefully in October. Another rainless day in the Tetons, bringing my streak to 7. Can’t ask for much more. Also did this hike completely unbroken! (Excluding water fill ups, bathroom breaks, and screaming at my water filter)
