🦢🦢🦢Very fitting name for my last adventure at home before heading back to Rhode Island tomorrow. Thanks Run The Whites for the challenge, that was fun! 

I was prepared for this to be very very hard, but it was only very hard so I felt awesome the entire time. Originally I wanted to see if I could get the FKT, but after I couldn’t find my FlipBelt last night, I decided to just enjoy the experience (I also wouldn’t have been remotely close anyways, sub-20 per mile is not something I’m capable of on this route currently. Maybe in a few years!). 

Anyways, all went smoothly except for the Subway in King Ravine. I knew that for the route to be official, I would have to take the Subway, and I wasted legitimately an hour trying to find where to go after the first cave. After traversing way too far to the West, I decided that the best course of action would be to enter through the exit of the Subway 220 yards up the trail and do it in reverse. That was much easier to follow, and so I made my way back to the start, tapped the sign at the entrance, and did it the right way once I knew where to go. I also filmed a little step-by-step tutorial video that I’ll put on YouTube for any future Subway hopefuls, because I watched some videos when I was trying to figure out where to go and all the vloggers got lost too😂

The rest of the route was great! I filled out a bunch more of my Terrifying 25 list and Huntington was extremely dry. The line was also not very long atop Washington, and funny enough, this was my first time ever on the Tuckerman Ravine Trail. Also, weirdly enough, I got a Marathon PR! I can see this route being an annual endeavor, and maybe once I get some better descending legs I can go for a record someday. 

The last month has been my most mountainous month ever, unquestionably. I think I’m ready to be in Charlestown for a bit, as crazy as that sounds!
