Very challenging day, from basically no services after Holly, to boring af farmland, respiteless sun, and a stiff headwind basically all day. Oh yeah also got two flats in the middle of nowheresville, thanks to the notorious Goat Heads. The two goals today were to summit "Mt" Sunflower, highest point in Kansas and to tag 4 Welcome to Colorado signs (I got 3). I think long otherwise boring days like this it's super valuable to set intermediate goals, such as the signs, that keeps the day manageable. On a day without direct headwind, I probably could've gotten to Kanorado, but today wasn't that day. Last pic is an albino oil derrick.
